Why pay so much attention to our sleep?

Our sleep: a priority!

I don't know about you, but my body has been telling me for the past few weeks that I'm sleep-deprived! So what do I do?

I'm trying to reorganize my days to prioritize my sleep!

Why?

Studies show that a lack of sleep is associated with :

  • Increased cardiovascular diseases

  • Increased metabolic problems (such as blood sugar, cholesterol and blood pressure)

  • Immune system dysfunction

  • Lower stress tolerance

  • Greater emotional instability

  • Reduced cognitive ability

and the list goes on!

Are you surprised?

You're not alone! I too was initially surprised by these findings! I didn't realize how important our sleep is for our bodies and their ability to regenerate and repair during the deeper cycles of our sleep.

How's your sleep?

Especially with the holiday season just around the corner, I encourage you to pay more attention to the length and quality of your sleep to ensure you give your body time to do what it needs to do while you sleep!

Some food for thought :

  • How many hours a night do you sleep?

  • How would you describe the quality of your sleep?

  • How many times a night do you wake up?

Need a helping hand?

If you'd like to explore these questions further with me and/or explore different avenues of solution, please don't hesitate to contact me! The first introductory session is free!

This is a subject that can be explored in group or individual sessions!

The idea is to help you become aware of where you are in relation to your aspirations, so that you can take the necessary action, if you so wish, to reduce the gap between the two! A great gift for yourself!

On that note, I wish you a good, restful sleep tonight and for the nights to come!
